AFC Sudbury widened the gap between themselves and 10-man Alvechurch after this engaging low-scorer.
After Alvechurch went close to scoring an early opener -Omari Sterling-James curled his shot on to the roof of the net -Sudbury began to take control.
Ryan Henshaw’s shot was well saved by goalkeeper Ronnie Hollingshead, who was the architect of the game’s big moment: he was dispossessed by Joe Neal, who tookthe ball from him about 30 yards and, after a few passes, calmly slotted it home.
