■RAMSBOTTOM United opened up a six-point lead at the top of the Premier Division with a 3-1 victory over West Didsbury & Chorlton.
Harvey Whyte netted a penalty and Thomas Hoyle scored twice for the table toppers at the Recreation Ground before Connor Hughes added a late consolation for the visitors.
There was more good news for Ramsbottom as Lower Breck overcame much-fancied Bury 4-3.
