■ MALVERN survived a hectic final 20 minutes in a mudbath after skipper Luke Payne was sent off for a mis-timed ‘last man’ tackle.
The point moved Bash-ley up to fourth place.
Having won at both Evesham and Helston and taken a point recently at Exmouth, Malvern deserved their draw. They had the better of the opening exchanges, and might have been ahead even before a hotly-disputed penalty gave Jack Watts the chance to give them a half-time lead.
