WHEN Pat Harding hung up his boots last year to become Hassocks chairman, you could say the role was in the blood.
Harding’s Dad Matthew, the late vice-chairman of Chelsea in the 1990s, was a local man much loved and admired by Blues fans and now has a stand named after him at Stamford Bridge.
So the move into the boardroom may have seemed natural for Harding junior, who called time on his playing career at 40 after representing Horsham, Burgess Hill Town, Eastbourne Borough, Whitehawk and, of course, Hassocks, where he returned for a final campaig...
