nJAMES Wilcock’s thunderbolt ensured leaders Lichfield City left closest rivals Brocton with a useful point from a feisty 2-2 draw.
Will Whieldon’s close-range volley gave the Badgers a half-time lead before Jack Edwards provided City’s first leveller, his deflected free-kick enough, but Brocton regained the lead through top scorer Reg Smith’s smart low shot in the 68th minute.
Wilcock would have the last laugh, though, seizing on some penalty area pinball to lash through the crowd to maintain City’s one-point gap at the summit.
