The Scholars were forced into a 21st-minute substitution, Brandon Adams coming on for Bailey Stevenson.
Cian Moore was called into action, diving to his left to palm the ball away and deny the Millers.
Seven minutes later, Stevenson’s close-range effort ricocheted into the net, only to be adjudged offside. The hosts grew into the game, beginning to take control towards the end of the first half.
