ALEX Walpole has quit as caretaker manager of Eastern Counties Premier Division side Fakenham Town.
Walpole took over the Ghosts hot seat last June following the sudden resignation of Andy Cunningham after six years in charge.
A Town statement said: “He was offered the post as full time manager back in December but declined this and said that he would carry on in a non-playing role until the end of the season. Circumstances changed and he resigned at the weekend.
