■LICHFIELD CITY were crowned MFL Premier champions on Saturday after their 3-0win at Whitchurch Alport.
The opener came on 28 minutes when Leighton McMenemy’s shot was diverted past the home keeper by Jamie Spiers.
Whitchurch had chances in a fast start but there was no stopping Lichfield after they doubled their lead within a minute of the restart, Liam Kirton drilling home. Callum Griffin later wrapped things up.
Atherstone Town can still claim the runners-up spot after they beat OJM Black Country 3-2with goals from Chris Cowley, Ryan Harkin and Jacob Shilton.
