Altrincham have confirmed that Chris Conn-Clarke has left for Peterborough United.
The Northern Irish midfielder signed for Alty last summer from Fleetwood Town after two previous loan spells.
His form helped Altrincham reach the National League play-offs, where they were beaten in the semi-finals by eventual winners Bromley.
Conn-Clarke (pictured left in action against Notts County in the 2022/23 campaign) was voted National League Player of the Year after scoring 23 goals and assisting a further 12, which attracted the interest of several clubs.
League One Peterborough United eventually put in a successful bid, signing the former Burnley youngster on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
Altrincham manager Phil Parkinson paid tribute via the club’s official website:
“It’s a very proud moment for myself, the outgoing Rob Esteva, Neil and all the staff who are all involved with the development of a player, to see them move on to bigger and better things.
“The club will get a decent fee and be recognised as a place that helps people develop, get back on track and progress. Everyone wins, exactly how it should be. Good luck CCC.”
