Manager Sam Ricketts has made his first new signing of the summer at Wrexham by capturing 25-year-old midfielder Luke Young on a two-year contract.
Player of the Year at Torquay United, Young spent four years at Plainmoor and turned down a new contract with the Gulls following their relegation from the National League.
He told the club’s website: “I’m really looking forward to it. After playing Wrexham over the past few years it’s always been a tough place to come.”
“Being on the flip side of that now is something I am really looking forward to.
“It was a big factor having that security over two-years , it’s not just me moving up here to Wales it’s my Mrs and the little one.”
Ricketts added: “I have said from day one that I want quality players and Luke is one of them. Fair play he is moving up her with his family .
“He’s made that commitment to move from Torquay to Wrexham and that is the type of players I want.
“He’s really good on the ball,he switches the play really well and we’ll be looking to utilise that this year.”
