Mark Yates leaves Solihull Moors for Macclesfield

Solihull Moors have announced that manager Mark Yates has left the club to join newly promoted League Two side Town.
Yates took over at Dameson Park in November of last year, inheriting a club who had amassed just 11 points from their opening 20 games.
However, the 48-year-old secured victories in 11 of his 26 games in chargeto guide The Moors away from relegation danger.
Before arriving at Solihill, the former Birmingham City midfielder also had spells in the dugout with Harriers, Cheltenham Town and Crawley Town.
Yates replaces John Askey at Moss Rose, who left the club to join League One side Shrewsbury.
Speaking to the club’s official website, the new Macclesfield boss said, “I’m really pleased. It’s happened really quickly but I’m joining a club with momentum and a club that are on the up.
“Everybody at the Club did a fantastic job last season and I just want to carry that on in a very competitive League Two.
“I’m looking forward to working with the players that are here but also bringing in some new faces too. I’ve been very impressed with the Chairman and I’m sure we’re going to work tirelessly to put together a squad that will do well next season.”
