National League side Hartlepool United have made their second signing of the summer by bringing in striker Niko Muir from Hendon for an undisclosed fee.
The 24-year-old found the net an impressive 40 times for the Greens last season as they narrowly missed out on promotion to the National League South after losing to Duliwch Hamlet in the Bostik League play-off final.
Muir’s form attracted the interest of a number of clubs from within both the Football League and Non-League and the powerful front man recently spent time on trial with Championship club Queens Park Rangers.
Before joining Hendon, Muir represented a range of Non-League sides including Grays Athletic, Wingate & Finchley, VCD Athletic and Leiston and has frequently found the net for most clubs.
Hartlepool suffered a disappointing campaign last season, finishing 15th, but hopes are high that the club will enjoy a better season next year following a takeover led by local businessman Raj Singh.
