Wrexham have strengthened their side ahead of the upcoming National League season by bringing in midfielder Luke Summerfield.
Summerfield was released by League Two side Grimsby Town this summer and made 17 appearances on loan with National League Champions Macclesfield during the last campaign.
The 30-year-old midfielder has spent the majority of his career within the Football League where he has represented the likes of Plymouth Argyle, Bournmouth, Leyton Orient, Cheltenham Town, Shrewsbury Town and York City.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Wrexham boss Sam Ricketts said, “I am really pleased to bring Luke to Wrexham AFC.
“He is a very good player who has plied his trade at a very good level over the course his career. He’s a fit lad who keeps himself in good shape, so it won’t be a problem him slotting straight in to pre-season.
“He lives locally which is another bonus and I’m really looking forward to working with him this season.”
