National League South side Dartford FC have had a shake-up in their side to prepare them for the upcoming season.
The South-East side have signed Tom Murphy for another year, after he was invited back to pre-season, impressing joint managers Adam Flanagan and Jamie Coyle.
The forward has made appearances for Gillingham, Lewes and Thurrock and signed for Maidstone in the summer of 2016. A month- loan spell at Eastbourne Borough in November of that year eventually led to the 26 year-old securing a permanent deal at Dartford.
The joint managers told the clubs website: “When we met Tom in the summer we gave him some targets to reach for his return to pre-season. Tom has met those targets and has really impressed us with his attitude and work rate. We look forward to working with Murph for the upcoming season and he brings another dimension to the squad.”
However, Richard Sho-Silva and Warren Mfula have both left Dartford. Flannagan and Coyle told the clubs official website: “They are both great lads, who we felt at this stage of their careers they now need to be playing week in and week out.
“Unfortunately, we could not offer that to them and so it is only right that we give them enough time to try to find a new club.”
