National League table toppers Wrexham have strengthened their squad with the signing Scott Burgess on a six month loan deal from Bury.
The 21-year-old midfielder is well suited to a promotion chase, having played an important role in Macclesfield‘s run to the National League title last season.
Burgess came through the youth ranks at Bury and before enjoying a successful loan spell with Macclesfield last season, he spent time with Norwegian third division side side Bergsoy.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Wrexham boss Sam Ricketts said, “Scott is a young lad who knows the National League very well. He was promoted with Macclesfield last season so he knows what it takes to be successful.
“I’m looking forward to working with him here at Wrexham and I hope he enjoys his time with us.”
