Winding up order issued against Ebbsfleet United

It has emerged that a winding up petition was issued against side last week.
The news will add further concern to Fleet fans after it was revealed that the club’s players had been paid late in seven of the last ten months.
The Kent side have looked to tighten their budget in recent weeks and have let go of four first team players in a bid to balance the books.
Despite news of the winding up order being revealed, Ebbsfleet’s Managing Director David Archer has moved to reassure supporters, telling Kent Live: “Payment is being transferred as we speak. It’s all resolved.
“They know it’s all being done through the procedure. It’s all in hand.”
Meanwhile, a statement posted on the club’s official website read, “The club is fully aware of the petition published in ‘The Gazette’ relating to a winding-up order.
“Arrangements have been in place to pay the full amount within 72 hours and as a result ensure the removal of the petition through the standard procedure for these matters.”
Ebbsfleet are currently owned by Kuwaiti businessman Dr Abdulla Al-Humaidi (pictured above), who bought the then club in the summer of 2013.
Despite their off field troubles, Ebbsfleet are currently on a good run of form under new boss Garry Hill and are sitting in 10th place in the National League table following Saturday’s impressive 2-0 win at Aldershot.
