have made a big statement of intent by signing Town striker and two-time promotion winner Nathan Blissett on a deal until the end of the 2019/2020 season.
The 28-year-old won the title with the Silkmen last season before making his making his move permanent at Moss Rose in the summer from Plymouth Argyle.
Born in West Bromwich, the six-foot five inch forward caught the eye with League Division One South side , where Harriers then came knocking.
He scored 11 goals with Kiddy, before then going on to have spells in the fifth tier with Cambridge United, Tranmere Rovers and Bristol Rovers – he achieved promotion with the latter in 2015 through the play-offs.
In January 2016, Blissett joined and scored 12 goals in 41 games. That propelled him to Plymouth Argyle where he was part of the side that won promotion to League One.
Three goals in a handful of appearances for Argyle meant a move to Macclesfield and now to the Moors where he will look to add extra firepower to the team.
On signing for Solihull, Blissett said: “I’m looking forward to it. It’s going to be a challenge in what we’re looking to do, but the main aim is to try and push for promotion or at least a play-off place.
“I’m a Midlands boy and there’s staff here that I know very well. There are players here that I want to play with and create some good memories.”
Assistant Manager Gary Whild added: “Nathan has a great record at getting promoted from this level and even in the League.
“He will massively add to our frontline and, most importantly, Tim and I have worked with him before.
“He’s good on the pitch and is the right type of person to bring in – he’ll add to the group off-the-pitch as well with his attitude.”
Sporting Director Mark Fogarty said: “From a club perspective, Nathan was a priority for us after our analysis and recruitment team spent time on profiling the player to fit in with the Moors philosophy.”
