AFC Fylde Chairman David Haythornthwaite has told the Blackpool Gazette that he is fully focused to the National League club and will not be making another attempt to purchase Blackpool.
The Tangerines were recently placed in receivership following Owen Oyston’s controversial tenure in charge of the club.
Haythornthwaite previously looked into purchasing the club before becoming involved in the project at AFC Fylde.
Speaking to the Blackpool Gazette, the Coasters Chairman said, “I made two attempts (to take control of Blackpool) and I could probably buy it today a lot cheaper than I tried to buy it for!
“But I’m fully committed to Fylde. I have a project I’ve started here and I am going to see it through. I will not be making any bid for Blackpool.”
