Maidenhead United have continued preparations for next season with the signing of 24 year old former Republic of Ireland Under 21 international forward Shamir Fenelon.
Fenelon who spent the last three seasons with now National League South side Aldershot Town arrives at Maidenhead with plenty of experience under his belt.
Starting out at Brighton & Hove Albion, the winger has gone on to represent the likes of Torquay, Rochdale, Dagenham, Tranmere and Crawley.
The signing follows the arrival last weekend of Henry Landers from Step 4 side North Leigh.
Speaking to Maidenhead’s official club website, Chief Scout Lee Devonshire said, “Shamir is someone who we have liked for a while now.
“He has experience of playing in the football league with the likes of Crawley and he was a key ingredient in the Aldershot team that finished in the playoffs the season before last.
“He can play anywhere along the front 3 positions, has pace, power and is capable of scoring and creating goals. He is the right age and fits the profile of the type of player we are looking to bring in this summer to join the existing members of the group.”
Maidenhead are looking forward to another season in the National League next year, having successfully avoided the drop once again.
