John Goddard reunites with Garry Hill at Ebbsfleet United

John Goddard has reunited with his former boss Garry Hill at .
The midfielder enjoyed his best form at Fleet’s rivals under Hill for three seasons, eventually earning a move into the League at Swindon Town.
Goddard, 26, becomes Hill’s 12th player to be signed on for the new signing, following the acquisition of Stevenage midfielder James Ball on Monday.
The Reading Academy product played for Ebbsfleet last Saturday as a trialist against Tottenham Hotspur and is the latest former Woking player to join Hill following Aswad Thomas, Gozie Ugwu and Jack King.
Goddard joined Woking in 2013 from Hayes and Yeading and went on to play over 120 times for the Cards.
He was top scorer and their player of the season in his final year at the club and also represented England twice, which led to a Football League move.
Swindon signed him for an undisclosed fee on a three-year contract in the summer of 2015 and he made 42 appearances in League One in his first season.
A brief spell at Stevenage was followed by six months with last season and the back half of the campaign was spent at Aldershot Town.
Ebbsfleet host Championship newcomers Charlton on Tuesday night, kick-off 7.30pm.
