RESURGENT Torquay United made it seven points out of a possible nine as they continued their climb to safety with a valuable win at Maidenhead.
On-loan Dagenham striker Elliott Romain was the Gulls hero with the winner three minutes from time after Ryan Upward had earlier cancelled out Aaron Barnes’s opener for the visitors.
“I think we deserved it,” beamed Gulls boss Gary Owers, whose side are now within four points of safety. We got the lead through a great goal from young Aaron and second half we played really well going down the slope.
