CHESTERFIELD director and company secretary Ashley Carson says the club has received some “extremely high quality applications” for the vacant manager position ahead of next season in the National League.
The Spireites, who parted company with manager Jack Lester last month, have slipped out of the Football League for the first time since 1921.
It is Chesterfield’s second consecutive relegation after finishing bottom of League One last season, ending a 97-year stay in the Football League.
