Emotions run high as Tranmere’s Wembley heroes reflect on a day to remember

MICKY MELLON couldn’t be prouder of his Tranmere side, who delivered a return to the Football League against all odds.
Three long years have passed since Rovers dropped out of the 92 which forced the club to make staff redundant and more recently close their academy.
In the face of adversity, Mellon’s side came good and at the full-time whistle the outpouring of emotion was clear for all to see. This was more than winning a game of football for Tranmere.
