SALFORD City missed the chance to move back to the top of the table as a goal in each half from Alex Kiwomya gave Chesterfield a long-awaited win at the Proact Stadium.
It was a first win in 20 league matches for Martin Allen’s Spireites, while the high-flying Ammies suffered their first defeat in 21.
The home side took the lead in the first attack of the game with just two minutes on the clock.
Eighteen-year-old striker Hanani Amantchi marked his full debut by crossing to the unmarked Kiwomya at the far post to slot home.
