BEN CLARK’S apparently under-siege Gateshead moved into the play-off places with a perfect, if rather lengthy, away day. The Heed started their 18-hour round trip at 6.15am, but Connor Thomson and Cameron Salkeld both scored their first goals for the club to make it all worthwhile at the end of another tempestuous week on Tyneside.
