BATTLING Barnet took promotion favourites Notts County to the wire at Meadow Lane after being all but blown apart in the opening quarter.
Peter Beadle’s men rallied after a Callum Roberts-inspired Notts went 3-0 up inside 23 one-sided minutes.
JJ Hooper’s brace rewarded Barnet’s improvement and Notts were happy to waste time before skipper Michael Doyle finally settled the issue at the death.
Both managers summed up a topsy-turvy game perfectly.
