SPITFIRES OFF TARGET AS TERRAS FRUSTRATE

WEYMOUTH halted a run of five successive National League defeats with a deserved goalless draw at the Silverlake Stadium, where hosts Eastleigh were left to reflect on missing several gilt-edged chances.
It was only the second time this season the Terras had completed a clean sheet but, with skipper Jake McCarthy leading by example, they gleaned their first point since beating Stockport County 2-1 in late October.
Manager Brian Stock, banned from the touchline following his red card in the recent 3-2 defeat by Wrexham, was delighted.
