DANNY Rowe’s late penalty kept Chesterfield’s promotion hopes alive as they scrapped past ten-man Dagenham & Redbridge.
Chesterfield welcomed fans into the Technique Stadium for the first time in 445 days and the home fans were not left disappointed as two goals from Rowe cemented victory for the Spireites.
They found themselves behind on 29 minutes, with Liam Gordon tapping home from close range to give Dagenham the lead against the run of play.
