2021 is gone, and the New Year is here!
The first edition of NL Full Time for 2022 is available to download, stream or subscribe to here:
To welcome in 2022, Luke, Rob and Dickie invited not one but two special guests:
Ahead of his team’s big Emirates FA Cup 3rd round tie this weekend, Russ Penn, manager of Kidderminster Harriers, gave us his thoughts ahead of their meeting with Reading. Russ also gave us his perspective on the top of the National League North, with Harriers in the hunt for promotion.
Scott Davies, a long-time friend of the podcast, joined us also, with the Slough Town midfielder looking forward to the second half of the season in an exceptionally tight National League South and possibly building a run in the Buildbase FA Trophy too.
The weather and Covid took their toll on the Vanarama National League fixtures over the New Year; who enjoyed the best start to 2022, and which teams may already have broken their New Year resolutions?
There was a meeting of promotion challengers at Meadow Lane, and Notts County dowsed the Red Dragons’ fire, downing a Wrexham side who led early on, but who also saw red.
Rob Worrall was at a pulsating clash between Woking and Aldershot Town, where the Shots fired late in the game, just as it appeared Alan Dowson’s side held all the Cards.
Elsewhere, Dagenham and Redbridge, Eastleigh and Torquay enjoyed valuable victories, and the team reviewed all of the matches.
