Captains pull together amid contracts row

YEOVIL TOWN skipper Josh Staunton hailed the unity of the 24 National League captains after they came together to make their voices heard over the new FA-imposed Non-League player contracts.
A row has engulfed the game after it emerged alterations are set to come in from July 1 that could see injured players only paid in full for 12 weeks. Those who play Step 2 and down would be entitled to six weeks.
The NLP understands that the existing contract, which has been used for some time, no longer complies with UK employment law.
