SAM Dalby and Elliot Lee’s second-half goals proved vital as red-hot Wrexham secured victory against struggling York City.
The Red Dragons opened the scoring in the 41st minute as a thunderous strike from James Jones cannoned off the crossbar, leaving York keeper Ryan Whitley scrambling to clear his lines but he couldn’t prevent the goal from going in.
Dalby doubled the lead less than ten minutes after coming onto the pitch with a powerful header from Ben Tozer’s long throw, leaving Whitley with no chance.
