KING’S LYNN TOWN scored inside the first minute and won the battle at the bottom against struggling Darlington.
Quakers’ Cameron Salkeld gave the ball away, and Jack Hannah was caught flat-footed leaving King’s Lynn forward Josh Barrett to fire past David Robson after 19 seconds.
Darlington responded well, however, with Will Hatfield and debutant Jonny Ngandu both having shots from outside the penalty area, while Toby Lees missed a golden chance.
