TOMMY Widdrington’s FA Cup history-makers had to grind out a narrow, nervy victory which cemented their place in the play-offs – but for Kidderminster it was a familiar tale of deserved rewards laying tantalisingly out of reach.
Dreams of a repeat of last weekend’s thrashing of Swindon were briefly rekindled in the hosts’ thrilling start but thereafter they were left to hang on as Harriers failed to take several chances which would have earned a valuable point.
