Fenix flames
Brown was the Art Deco stand, with blue metal surround, rouge the old running track, white was the rail around.
With friends in the old café, beige was this circular bar. The Fenix flame of friendship, for all those near and far.
Flowers for a passed chairman, in reverence for the man. The purple shirts of Enfield, fast their runners ran.
Red were the Llantwit faces, when Enfield scored a goal, as I sat in a listed building. The place had soul,
not business on a football field, not football in disguise, just a game for the joy of it, under darkened skies.
