HARTLEPOOL United’s stuttering start to the campaign continued after a third red card from the first six matches under new boss Darren Sarll.
Even though Pools finished strongly and might have beaten plucky Braintree Town, Sarll was left frustrated once again after watching skipper Luke Waterfall – also sent off during the 1-1 draw with Southend in the first home game of the season – dismissed by referee Michael McQuillan for allegedly throwing an arm at George Langston in the penalty area.
