GATESHEAD put a difficult week behind them to make it four wins on the spin and increase a spirited Wealdstone’s problems near the foot of the table.
The managerless Tynesiders, who will move within one point of leaders Barnet if they win their game in hand at Tamworth on Tuesday, needed a 73rd minute winner from sub Jovan Malcolm to edge past the Stones.
