Woking secured a first win in a month to ease fears of falling into the National League relegation zone after defeating Braintree Town.
Goals from Harry Beautyman and Tunji Akinola secured the victory, despite a nervous last 20 minutes instigated by Aidan Francis-Clarke’s 70th-minute header.
The Cards hosted a Braintree side buoyed by three victories in their last four games.
But Ardley’s side claimed a big three points towards National League survival.
