National League side Dagenham & Redbridge have made three signings ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
Oscar Rutherford, Josh Umerah and Trent Rendall have arrived Victoria Road.
Defender Rutherford has signed a two-year deal from Eastleigh. The 20-year-old right back made 77 appearances for the Spitfires, formerly managed by current Daggers boss Ben Strevens (pictured).
Umerah spent the last two seasons at Hartlepool United. The striker began his career at Charlton Athletic and has past National League experience with Boreham Wood, Ebbsfleet United, Torquay United and Wealdstone before making the move north.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Umerah said:
“I’m delighted, once the opportunity came to come to Dagenham, it was almost a no brainer.
“My agent put it across to me and went through the ambitions of the club and what the club stood, so it was just Dagenham.”
Rendall won promotion to the National League last season on loan at Braintree Town. The centre-back started in Arsenal’s academy before joining QPR in 2014, where he was released last month.
Strevens’ side finished 15th last season, their eighth back in Step 1 since relegation from the EFL.
