NEW Ebbsfleet United boss Josh Wright admits his relegation battlers were miles off it as they were crushed 4-0 by Southend United at Roots Hall.
A bumper crowd of over 8,000 saw Kevin Maher’s Shrimpers brush rock-bottom Fleet aside with ease.
Oli Coker put the hosts ahead inside seven minutes and Bim Pepple’s sharp finish made it two at the break.
Pepple added a third seven minutes into the restart before Gus Scott-Morriss fired in a fourth soon after.
