Angelo Cappello’s early strike earned FC Halifax Town a second home win in a week to continue with their National League play-off place push.
It was lucky 13 for the Belizean left-sider who, in the 13th minute, seized upon some good play from Luca Thomas and Zak Emmerson to fire past Aidan Stone for the only goal.
Coupled with Tuesday night’s win over Forest Green Rovers, it took the Shaymen seven points inside the top seven and left manager Chris Millington in reflective mood.
