Luke Charman has been confirmed as Hartlepool United‘s first summer signing.
The attacker has agreed to move to Pools from AFC Fylde after nearly two seasons for the Lancashire club, helping them to promotion to the National League.
A former Newcastle United Academy player, Durham-born Charman has also featured for Darlington and Rochdale.
The 26-year-old scored three in Step 1 last year as Fylde comfortably avoid relegation.
Hartlepool manager Darren Sarll told the club’s official website:
“When we look at the player profile that we want to attract to Hartlepool United, Luke epitomises that model. Especially in forward positions, not only to aggressively attack, but to start a high defensive organisation.
“Luke’s directness and combative style matches perfectly with our model, and I believe he will become a favourite with our supporters. This is a good start to our summer recruitment.”
