Jack Sims signs for Sutton

Jack Sims

Sutton United have signed goalkeeper Jack Sims from newly promoted Braintree Town.

The 25-year-old glovesman kept 18 clean sheets last season for the Iron, the most in National League South. He was selected in Vanarama’s Team of the Season for the division.

After two years with the Essex outfit, the former Blackpool stopper has decided to switch to Sutton United, much to Steve Morison’s delight.

The U’s boss told their official club website:

“I’d like to welcome Simo to Sutton United and say how pleased I am to make a quality addition to the goalkeeping department.

“He’ll add great competition, and with the chance to learn from Steve Arnold’s years of experience as a top goalkeeper and with Andy Little’s expertise he joins an excellent unit.”
