National League North side Southport remain busy in their recruitment process with the signing of former Barrow midfielder Bradley Bauress.
The 22 year-old signed for the Sandgrounders following a season-long stint at Barrow. The left-footed midfielder began his career in the youth team at Blackburn Rovers, where he captained their Under 21 side, before joining Colwyn Bay and Witton Albion.
Speaking to Southport’s official website, he said: “I’m really looking forward to my first season with Southport, a club that has big ambitions. I feel it’s a really good place to play my football as the team is looking stronger by the day.”
Meanwhile, heading in the other direction to League Two side Morecambe is Mark Halstead. The goalkeeper made 12 appearances for the National League North side last season.
Shrimps boss Jim Bentley said: “He’s a decent all round goalkeeper and gives us good competition. He’s hungry to prove he can be number one and we’re very much looking forward to working with him.”
