The Boston Standard are reporting that National League North side Boston United will relocate their training facilities to Doncaster Rovers’ plush Keepmoat Stadium.
The move will see the Pilgrims move from their current base near Mansfield.
Speaking to a fans forum on Wednesday night, manager Craig Elliot, who has been in charge since November 2017 said, “I inherited training at Shirebrook, near Mansfield.
“It wasn’t ideal as obviously it is not an easy place to get to.
“We’re changing it to Doncaster Rovers, the Keepmoat, next year.
“We’ll be training Monday and Thursdays and with the option to train Wednesdays as well”.
He continued, “We are trying to keep up with the teams in the league that are full time.
“We’re trying to make up that ground and we’ll have the use of the running track, indoor gyms. A lot better facilities for the football side and also better links.
Boston are currently sitting in 11th place in the National League North table, eight points adrift of the play-off positions.
