Darlington say they are welcoming applications from women for their vacant managerial role.
The club and manager Tommy Wright decided to part ways last week and now the National League North side are searching for their new boss.
In an advert for the manager’s position, Darlo will ‘guarantee’ an interview to any ‘suitably qualified’ female or BAME candidates who apply.
“Much has been done to stabilise and build the club in recent years, such that the club now has a sound financial position, strong fanbase, a ground back in the town and a new Academy team,” the advert read.
“We now wish to build on this by appointing a Manager who can bring success at this level and can prepare the club for the next step on this journey back to the Football League.”
The full requirements for the job can be found on the club’s website and applications should be sent to Darlington club secretary Dave Watson at [email protected].
