MANI DIESERUVWE’S last gasp header decided a hardfought game and extended Salford’s lead at the top of the table to four points.
The home side created a number of opportunities during the first half. Ibou Touray went close with a free-kick before Gus Mafuta, Michael Nottingam and Richie Allen were all denied by Alfreton keeper Chris Elliott. Alfreton went close during the second half ‘s first minute but Brody Robertson’s header was saved by Callum Burton.
