YORK City enjoyed their first win in four thanks to goals from Jon Parkin and Dan Parslow.
The Minstermen edged to a 2-1 home triumph over Curzon Ashton, who have still only won one league game on the road this term, despite Joe Guest’s reply.
Martin Gray’s side set the early pace with Parkin curling just wide from the edge of the box and Adriano Moke calling Curzon keeper Cameron Mason into a flying save. Parkin went on to open the scoring on 17 minutes, sidefooting in after debutant Gary Martin had squared the ball across.
