CHORLEY’S victory, which lifts them into second in the table, was as narrow as the score suggests.
The visitors mounted sustained late pressure. In added time only a brilliant point-blank save by Matt Urwin denied them.
There was excitement at both ends in an end-to-end game. After Urwin had tipped aside a drive from distance by Luke Ingram, Marcus Garnham rescued Needham with excellent diving saves from well-struck efforts by Mike Calveley and George Horbury.
