A CONTEST that promised much, and began brightly, fifinished in a sort of scrapping shapelessness as Eastbourne – who had led since the ninth minute – clung on in the face of a City fifightback.
Sports manager Adam Murray was blunt, and truthful. “Probably our worst performance of the season. I hated every minute. Our winner was a great goal, but then decision-making, energy and performances were awful!”
