DARLINGTON recovered from last weekend’s heavy defeat to climb back into the play-off places with a victory more comfortable than the scoreline suggests.
In their best performance in several weeks, they beat Tamworth at Blackwell Meadows, taking the lead on five minutes when Terry Galbraith headed home Gary Brown’s throw-in.
Despite being in the ascendancy they were soon pegged back, Tamworth’s top scorer Dan Newton holding off Brown and latching onto a long ball with a shot which beat Adam Bartlett.
